About the Author
Linda Goodman, who died in 1995, was born and brought up in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She worked first as a columnist and feature writer for the Parkersburg News-Sentinel and the Clarksville (Tennessee) Courier. Then she was a staff writer for several radio and television stations, including three years at NBC writing; Monitor; and; Emphasis. She also wrote the book and lyrics for a Broadway musical in the time she could spare from preparing astrological charts for a sizable clientele. She was married and had four children.
